Hello! It’s been quite a while since I posted and that’s because life has been pretty busy these past few months. In October, I took my Pediatric boards. This is a day long test that essentially tests all the knowledge that we should have learned in residency. And all the crazy things that no one will see – like mucopolysaccharidosis type 3 is also called Sanfilippo syndrome and primarily affects the nervous system. Fingers crossed that I passed – we don’t find out until January! In the months leading up to boards, all of my spare time was spent on questions or flash cards. Now that I have my life back, I plan to start blogging more! Just expect it to include a lot of baby pictures similar to above…
As you know, we welcomed Teddy into the world in July (read about it here). He is already three months old! Where has the time gone? It has been amazing watching him grow and slowly discover the world. The weekend after I finished boards, we went to pumpkin patch and picked out our family pumpkins. Of course we dressed Teddy as a pumpkin! As above, he went as a teddy bear for Halloween – because what else would he be? Though, I am starting to worry that he will think his name is Teddy bear.
As a side note, nursing and pumping have been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. We’ll have a few good days and I’ll think we have everything figured out… and then something else will happen. I hate to see him grow up so fast but I also secretly celebrate every month of breastfeeding as it is always one more closer to being able to wean. If you all have any advice, I’d love to hear it. Expect to see posts in the future on struggles I’ve had and how I’ve tackled them.
It feels like I hardly have time for beauty anymore. Luckily, I still receive by Sephora Play! box each month. This at least forces me to take a little time for myself at a very low price of $10. I also ordered their deluxe box (which they occasionally sale for $20) and will be trying out some of their luxury products. Since I typically can’t afford La Mer cream, this was a great way to try hyped but also expensive products. I’ll let you all know if they are worth the money.
If there is something you have been eyeing lately or need to buy beauty Christmas gifts, Sephora is having their annual sale. Its 15% off for beauty insiders with code INSIDERS15 and 20% off for VIBs with code 20FORVIB!
